Too Blue

by Dave Rolfe

Dave Rolfe is a Folk Guitarist specializing in instrumentals ranging from Irish harp music to the Delta Blues. He plays with a vitality rarely seen in acoustic guitar players but sees himself as a humble disciple of such British acoustic guitar worthies as Davey Graham, Bert Jansch, and Ralph McTell.

Album Notes
Dave Rolfe returned to the folk scene in 1997 by joining the band at the Unicorn Folk Club near Weston Park. In his misspent youth he played rock and roll, acoustic blues and ragtime and was keen to extend these influences into his folk playing. In June 1999 Dave teamed up with Kevin Arnold as "Take Two". Dave's subtle guitar arrangements complemented Kevin's voice perfectly as they played a wide range of original and traditional material. They have released three CDs and gigged extensively at Folk clubs and festivals. In the spring of 2005, when Kevin moved to the hills of Wales, Dave became a solo recording artist. He has released two albums of instrumental guitar music: "With Further Ado" and "Feckless Eric" Shortly after the release of these albums, he helped to form the acoustic group "Driftwood"
