Album Notes
This work is based on a single recording of an a cappella performance of myself sounding the cosmic seed syllable "Om" or "Aum" at each chakra point along the central meridian of the human body, beginning at the root chakra at the tip of the coccyx then moving up the spine chakra by chakra to the crown chakra, then going up three chakras and corresponding notes higher, then descending down the front of the torso, back down to the root chakra.
Following the release of Overture Volume One in August 2016, which was itself more loosely structured on the One Four Seven arrangement of layered and staggered tracks of the original recording of the chakra toning technique I've been performing for over 20 years, I was inspired to take it deeper. Specifically to fourteen then twenty-eight layered and staggered tracks. The reason for this, or what inspired this latest iteration was that I noticed that in the higher registers of both the Four and Seven track versions the mind is loosed to consider clear and novel thoughts and inspiration. Each time i listened I would find new direction, new vistas, new ideas, while at the same time being able to see through the facade of my immediate surroundings, while feeling a strong and/or renewed sense of wellbeing. Something said that i needed to explore this soundscape further by doubling the seven then quadrupliling the seven layered and staggered tracks. The result is a rich, compelling, intricate tapestry of sacred geometric sound that i believe may create something of a soul mirror for the listener to receive whatever message from their own higher nature they most would benefit from at any given moment. Enjoy and let me know how this works for you.
