ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This album was recorded with the unique sounds of multiple handpans and then blended perfectly with the relaxing sounds of nature. Handpans are a new age metal instrument that look somewhat like an upside down Trinidadian steel drum. Many people think the instrument looks like a flying saucer. The handpan rests in ones lap and is played with bare hands. Multitudes of sounds, pitches, and sound effects can be produced by the handpan. It has become a very popular instrument in the yoga and meditation community.

This is a calming yet intriguing collection of original songs that can be perfectly incorporated into a yoga routine, a yoga class, personal meditation, a spiritual experience, sleep assistance, personal enjoyment, or even used as background music at a business.

Each track on this album has a unique flavor and captivating style. Akebono conjures images of Japan and Asia. Dark Earth brings forth sounds and images of Persia and Persian dancers. Sequoia weaves a melody that floats like the wind through trees in a forest. Each track leads the listener onward through a panoply of musical ideas and moods and leaves the listener wanting more.
