ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
David B. Elmore - Biography

I started my love for music at an early age. Between my parents and uncles, I was exposed to everything from Slim Whitman to Queen. My Mom always remembers the summer I spent most of my time in my room teaching myself how to play guitar. I started off singing along with records but once I picked up the guitar, I fell in love. My 1st guitar was a knock off Eddie Van Halen guitar called a Mako. Me and my brother both got one for Christmas and I think I acquired his and sold it after tweaking mine. My big influences were Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Metallica and Megadeth but love all types of innovative music. Friends used to call me Shredder back in the day because I loved to play fast and melt faces. I would play guitar with anyone wanting to jam which helped me learn different styles ranging from blues to speed metal. I am sure this helped me with my song writing and this eclectic album. I met Bill Martin who came out one night and filled in for my prior band on the drums. We clicked and started jamming at his house soon after and the rest is history. I met Dave Abson and he and Bill were starting up a local record label (Rare Metal Records). I was the 1st artist to sign with them and I loved the fact they pushed me to get my music recorded so others could hear it. Their belief in me and my songs gave me the confidence to get in the studio and create this record that I am proud to release. I had known Ron Gilchrist for years and sold him auto parts as well as being his tax man. I asked him if he knew any bass players to play on my album knowing that he was an accomplished musician. He volunteered himself and sounds awesome on this record, by the way he also plays sax on Mojo Blues. This band has great chemistry, no egos. We all work hard at our day jobs and the “Hundredaires” name came from a jam session in which Bill said – “We might not be Millionaires but we are definitely Hundredaires” – We all cracked up and the name stuck. I hope you all enjoy this record and I thank you for all your support!!!
