ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
David C. Johnson, born in Detroit, Michigan, began studying piano at the age of 7. He then went on to take up the bass guitar on his own at the age of 11. At an early age, David knew that music was his calling. He performed all over the Detroit Area until he took an offer to work with a band in S.W. Florida in 1989. Since that time, David has become one of S.W. Florida’s premier musicians, and a “first call” bassist.

In the beginning of 2000, David was granted the opportunity to tour with the Grammy Award winning legends, The Neville Brothers. He is also a member of the Aaron Neville Quintet, with performances on David Letterman, Jay Leno, the Today Show, and Craig Kilborn to his credit.

Absolutely Fabulous!!
I've had the pleasure of hearing and seeing David live in Ft Myers FL several times while in town on business. He's the best live show I've seen in years. An outstanding entertainer, incredibly accoomplished musician and vocalist- in short, he does it all in a superb manner. He relates to the crowd as if he is one of them. A truly complete package. This CD captures all that and more!! Well produced, a great selection of his live show...

The CD arrived in a very timely manner- thanks. Only a small crack on face of jewel case.

Man, what are you doing here?
Caught David Johnson at Key Lime Bistro on Captiva Island last week and we could think of was "WOW , what are you doing here?" Not your typical accoustic gitar, Jimmy Buffett" style Island entertainer. Davis blew us away with incredible vocals, guitar licks , keyboard runs and virtuoso bass playing that reminded me of David Dyson from "Pieces of a Dream." He played 3 hours non stop without taking a break and eventually had the entire lounge dancing. A really great talent and a very pleasent surprise for Captiva and all of us who were there that evening. A true musician's musician. Well done Dave!
