ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
David Corrie began performing as a boy in a unique style that endeared him to all who heard him sing. This vintage blossom of a singer performs a collection of gospel tunes..., and a couple of happy surprises..., with the quintessential backup singers of the past 50-years, the incomparable Jordanaires.
The Jordanaires are one of the world's most beloved vocal groups working with artists such as Elvis, Patsy Cline, Waylon Jennings, Janie Fricke, Ferlin Husky, Tammy Wynette, Kenny Rodgers, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Red Foley, Dolly Parton, and many other stars of the country and gospel music pantheon. With over 8-billion CDs in circulation world-wide, here they are again with the mellow lead of David Corrie.
The CD photo insert of the recording session is a priceless record of recording history: The Jordanaires, Millie Kirkham (soprano heard on many Elvis songs), legendary Nashville producer, Gabriel Farago, and the Who's Who of Nashville musicians Mark Beckett, Jimmy Carter, John D. Willis, Mike Noble, Sonny Garrish, and Mike Rojas.

Peace and calm in the combat zone.
I'm overseas for Operation Enduring Freedom. Found "What a Wonderful World" in a USO tent. I play it in the evening on a CD player with headphones whenever I have had a particularly stressful day. I find it to be a most powerful tool for calming the troubled soul. God has used you mightily, David! Many thanks!

What a wonderful collection!
David Corrie has a mellow voice and some of these renditions of old favorites are the best I've heard. The Jordanaires are as good as always..., maybe even better than when they sang gospel classics with Elvis Presley. What a wonderful collection of songs, singers, musicians..., all in one place. Excellent!

What a Wonderful World - Dave Corrie
Awesome set of songs sung by an amazing guy. As stated by my 9 year old Grandson, Isaac, "He's your buddy and he can sing that good?" . Yes he can!!

What a Wonderful World
I have known David Corrie since the early 60's while attending I.U. Bloomington, IN. You just need to know that he was terrific then and has only aged like a fine wine. He gets better by the year and I believe this to be his best. One last thing, if you haven't met David in person, you are missing a wonderful experience and a part of life that everybody should share. Great album, great songs great friend . God love ya man

DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS CD
If you like being DEPRESSED, feeling SORRY FOR YOURSELF, and just generally FEELING MISERABLE for yourself do not listen to this CD. It will take months of therapy to get you back to your depressed state. Side effects of listening to this CD include, feeling good about yourself, loving people, going through the day humming the words to the songs and feeling closer to the Lord. BE VERY CAREFULL. Love ya Dave. What a blessing.

Great CD
I have listened to this voice for over 50 years. David has only gotten better with age. He has a distinct voice like Bob Shane of the Kingston Trio, Gordon Lightfoot or Glenn Yarbrough . When you hear his voice, you know it's David. He has a talent that we all wish we had.

Forty years of listening - still enthralled
There's only one Dave Corrie. What a Wonderful World combines his originality, talent and spiritual basis to create an exceptionally enjoyable experience. The fact that our troops on foreign soil will receive 2.000 copies makes it all that much better. Great listening!

It'sA Wonderful World
What a refreshing piece of work. Elvis would be proud. With this disc we're finally talking "Music". Compared to much of what we're hearing these days, it's so nice to hear real quality songs, real quality arrangements, and real quality vocals. This deserves wide circulation for those of us who search for the real deal. The extra bonus of making this music available to the troops in the Middle East is simply perfect. Congratulations and well done Dave.
