Album Notes
In 1997 David Dewese moved from Dallas to Nashville to get famous. He honestly said that to people. Fame seemed like the only possible escape from working a real job, and all he knew was that music was fun and work was not. He had no idea you didn\'t actually have to be famous to make lots of records. He had no idea you didn\'t have to be famous to get your music on tv and radio. He had no idea you didn\'t have to be famous to tour the world playing music. He had no idea that making up a song could help him through the ups and downs of life, and he certainly had no idea that making up a song could help other people live their lives. So after being in Nashville 11 years, after 8 records with his bands, The Luxury Liners and The Foxymorons, and after exploring the possibility that he just might be done with it all, David recorded a solo album.

He makes music that Harp Magazine calls \"...near-Byrdsian folk-rock,\" Pitchfork proclaims has \"...strong song craft\", Spin compares to \"a cold beer at the end of a long working day: soothing as hell\" and Paste describes as \"...effortlessly graceful songwriting chops.\"

No matter how he got here, and no matter what happens next, his mission has been accomplished: he is doing what he loves.

Make the Best of It
David and I were neighbors when he was in elementary school. Little did I know he would grow up to be so talented in writing, playing and singing his own songs. Quite an accomplishment and I hope and pray he continues doing what he loves and gives others the pleasure of listening! Good luck forever and remember your roots.
