Album Notes
David England's new CD, “Little Death”, is available now! The CD features all new original songs. This is England’s first CD since the critically acclaimed “Almost True” in 2003. “Little Death” is a more stripped down Pop record than “Almost True” with a fair amount of late ‘60’s psychedelic guitar and catchy melodies.
Accompanying David's guitar and vocals is Matt Brookshire on bass, Devon Ashley (The Pieces, The Lemonheads, souLOVEuniverse) on drums, and Zero Boys’ front man Paul Mahern, on harmony vocals and percussion. The CD was also produced, engineered, and mixed by PMKSM-AKA Paul Mahern.
Paul’s production credits include, John Mellencamp, The Fray, Iggy Pop, Mysteries Of Life, Vulgar Boatmen, etc…
“Little Death” also has guest appearances by Jake Smith & Freda Love of Mysteries Of Life, and Kenny Childers of Gentleman Caller.
England's previous cd, Almost True got rave reviews and a Editor's Pick here at cd baby-

Like “King of America”-era Elvis Costello, David England blends
alternative folk with catchy, classic pop and country twang. For
‘Almost True,’ this innovative singer/songwriter has teamed up
with talented instrumentalist David Steele with great results.
They’ve made a record with all the homey earthiness of The Band, but
with a sophisticated sensibility straight from the Neil Finn/Michael
Penn school of melody.
