Album Notes
Sure to be on my favorites List for 2008, I really hope this is only the beginning of David Glass’ musical journey. In a year of incredible solo piano albums, this is one of the best. Very highly recommended!"
-Kathy Parsons, mainlypiano.com.

David Glass is fluent in many styles of piano music and has performed throughout his career, predominantly as a classical pianist and improviser. He received his undergraduate degree in Piano Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Ma. David did his graduate work in composition, film scoring and electronic music at San Jose State University, CA. In 2006
David released his first piano solo CD of the rarely recorded Liszt transcription of Beethoven’s 6th Symphony, “The Pastoral”, which may be the American premier recording. In 2004, David collaborated with pianist Francis Martineau and released their CD “On Course. Improvised Piano For Four Hands”, which was followed by a series of live concerts on the west coast of the US. David is scheduled to perform a series of concerts in Europe and the United States in 2008 to promote his latest recording, "Beginning The Journey". David and Francis released their second double CD "Trance Ference" in 2018.

From MainlyPiano
“Desiree” is the second solo piano single recently released by pianist/composer David Glass. The piece is a studio improvisation based on a theme Glass had in mind before recording, and was recorded in one take - very impressive for an almost ten-minute piece that flows so beautifully and seamlessly. A classically-trained pianist from a very young age, Glass has been a prominent piano teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area for many years. With playing chops that are beyond flawless and allow him to express whatever he wants at the piano, he is free to play from the heart and does an amazing of that on “Desiree.” Some passages are quieter, telling a simple, sometimes painful truth while others are expressed with a more turbulent passion. It’s a masterful work that deserves to be widely heard! I very highly recommend it!
