From MainlyPiano
“Missing You” is the first of two solo piano singles released by pianist/composer David Glass. This one is essentially an improvisation where Glass had a theme in mind before recording and then improvised on it in the studio. The recording was done in one take, which is more than impressive for an almost-nine-minute piece! Deep feelings of longing for someone or somewhere flow from each note of this beautiful piece, making it an expressive masterpiece (not a term I use lightly!). I sincerely hope it is the first of many new pieces from this excellent pianist/composer. Don’t miss it!

A classically-trained pianist from a young age, Glass has been a prominent piano teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area for many years. He has released two albums - one classical: "Beethoven/Liszt: Pastoral Symphony" (2006) and one of original compositions and improvisations: "Beginning the Journey" (2007). A dynamic live performer, passion, emotion, and sometimes humor are a prominent part of his live performances.
