ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School inspired me to write this song. Too often our country is shaken by another event like this one and once again our elected leaders fail to act.

The song presents the fact that anyone of us could be a victim but also that it can be prevented. It is up to us to make our elected leaders take the necessary steps to prevent future gun deaths.

Using acoustic instruments and vocals arranged to a rich texture, I aimed to provide an organic, evolving and emotional bed for the song’s message. You will hear upright bass, violin, viola, guitars, mandolin and percussion instruments.

I hope the song will make people feel the gravity of our reality but also see a glimmer of hope. But most importantly, that it drives the listener to take a stand and take action to make our world safer.
