“Sometimes a song comes along that is more than a song. It leaves a sense of anticipation and excitement in its wake and creates an atmosphere of longing that can only be sated with repetitive listening. A song that is more than the sum of all its parts. “It Gathers!” is one such song.”

"One of the things that struck me as I was listening to the album was the intelligence of the lyrics"..
- Matt "Hamster" Williams, Paradise Rock Review

“When the quality of music, imagination, and invention is so impressive and high it can only be talked of as one of the best debuts from a rock solo artist in recent years. Thru Never-Ending Black from composer, writer, and producer David J Caron is quite simply outstanding, a wonderfully infectious and persistently compelling slice of creativity.”
- Pete Ringmaster, Ringmaster Reviews Interviews

Heavy Guitar driven compositions, an intricately designed and arranged mix of power rhythms and single note riffs, sometimes interlaced with secondary underlying melodic patterns of guitar and/or syncopated arpeggio bubbles of complementing synth sounds, powerful and driving yet often unobvious bass-lines. Guitar solos are a purposeful and memorably tuneful inclusion when needed, designed to be as much an equal part of the track as all else in it, and not just an interval from the song in order to include the ever-present commonplace Rock song necessity . Drum patterns deliberately both misleadingly simple in places as well as perplexingly elaborate in others, all designed as a canvas on which to paint intelligent, thought-provoking and meaningful lyrics, with clarity of voice, although with enigmatic ambiguity of puzzling verse, absence of the obvious stereo-typically expected over-used Rock clichés, delivering in harmony, melodic melodies to catch both the intrigue of the mind and the pleasing of the ear, somehow uplifting with unclear disguise, satisfying the required qualifications for not only fans of Rock Music, but music itself.

A Legendary classic Album of the Future
I heard this dude playin on a number of radio stations in the states and I was immediately hooked on this infectious mixture of what can only be described as a new orignal genre all of his own creation! I had to buy this album to see if the rest of the tracks were as promising as what I heard.. Man..This album slaps you in the face and wakes you up to a different style and philosophy of what Rock Music can be, and keeps you riveted to every combination of riff, melody and meaningful lyric at every moment of every track, singin along, thumpin the air and memorising every word as I tap my uncontrollable foot. There are no fillers, no cheesy pretense, just an ultra catchy and memorable collection of tracks, one after the other. The same quality exists throughout. With each listen it gets even better as you discover something new you hadn't noticed before, like re-watchin a fav film or re-reading a classic book . The production is great, although I'd like to maybe hear the guitar a little more, but there is so much more going on here, that conventional rules don't seem to apply.. It's the songs themselves, the writing and composition that would make this an awesome experience to hear live..an album that will deservedly, or at least should, (in this endlessly polluted sea of current musical drudge that the world has become accustomed to accepting as standard so called "music") make this album a legendary classic of the future.. Buy it !! and let yourself be surprised, fascinated and forever glad you were lucky enough to experience it.. I rest my case....JJ..

Super Album
This is the first Album I have ever listened to that every single song on it was GREAT! I don’t know where to begin if I were to try and say what was my favorite or least favorite because they are all my favorite. As a musician myself, I just want to say, this is the greatest art of music I have ever heard. I think I’ll buy another copy just for backup.

An amazing musical journey!
WOW!!! This album is simply outstanding. It really is that good. I bought this album after hearing the opening bars of the track, Feels Of Fire on internet radio and I was not disappointed , in fact it blew me away. The album contains 28 tracks of the finest quality songs, musicianship and production that I have ever heard in my life. I am not normally a person that reviews the music I buy but I felt compelled to review this album for the reason it deserves to be reviewed. David J Caron is responsible for almost everything here. The song writing, the production, the arrangement and wait for it, ALL the instruments played on the album! Unbelievable talent! Rob Mancini is the co-producer and engineer and that is worthy of a mention simply for the brilliant production. The album contains many, many highlights, far too many to mention in fact. I have around 9 or 10 personal favourite tracks but no track is 'better' than any other. They are all a beautiful thing to listen too and are all here for a reason. They are not here to make up the numbers, they all belong, everyone of them.
The album is like a 2 hour 41 minute ride, at light speed thru the cosmos on a ship piloted by Mr Caron that takes in all the wonders of the universe then unceremoniously dumps you back on planet earth when your time is up and returns you back to reality!!
I would rate this album in the evolution of music alongside The Beatles, Sgt Pepper's/Revolver, The Eagles Hotel California, AC/DC's Back in Black, Guns N' Roses Appetite For Destruction and Nirvana's Nevermind. It is right up there with the best of them.
Thru Ever-Ending Black sounds like nothing else I have ever heard in terms of what genre it belongs to. It creates a genre all of it's own and I love it. It's simply a stunning piece of music that will leave you wanting to play it again and again. I never skip a track or find myself wanting just to listen to my favourite tracks, you simply put the CD in to your player, press play, turn up the volume and enjoy.
Other music by David J Caron that is more that worth checking out are the 5 singles that are available (at the time of writing) that do not appear on this album. Claim Your Victory, Do You Remember, Omniscient Flames, Sometimes Never Comes Soon and Illusion. With a new single Invisible due out soon.
They are all as brilliant as any song that appears on Thru Ever-Ending Black.
If you buy just 1 more album the rest of your life, buy this one!!
