Album Notes
David Keith Jones
After a first album gained a million You Tube hits by 2011 David is now ranked no. 1 independent classical & crossover artist in Eastern England. Vocals and instrumentals include folk & art songs, standards and opera. Albums include Schubert, Puccini, Quilter, Gershwin and Bacharach.
At Lewis School Pengam, he enjoyed sport, drama, choir and jazz. At university he sang in light operas, then played Jack Worthing in Oscar Wilde’s ‘The Importance of being Earnest’. With classical training he sang semi-pro but kept a day job. Taught by Vera Mallett GRSM and coached by Gerald Davies, principal at Sadlers Wells, David led Opera Cameo where roles included Don Jose and Rodolfo plus G&S. He took tenor leads in Messiah & Creation and sang the title role of Elgar's Gerontius. Play roles since 2000 include Gosforth in Alan Aykbourn's comedy. David's videos include stage performances.
