Album Notes
"The Hymnal" is a collection of original variations of classic hymns, that I grew up with.
It was recorded between March and November of 2010, and most of them are outtakes from the "Songs From 7th Street" sessions.
At the time I was learning how to edit, mix, produce and master my recordings. So, because I was a praise & worship leader at the time, and put together three separate praise and worship song sets a week, I was learning my recording skills with the songs that were being rehearsed at the time.
I always incorporated older hymns in with contemporary praise & worships songs in our set lists, and actually have more hymn recordings from the same era, that I plan on working on for release in the near future.
There are also recordings of the contemporary worship songs that were recorded at the same time, which will also eventually be released.
