Album Notes
The Big Easy Jazz Band

When David and Barbara Brown left their native New Orleans and moved to Northern California, they didn't expect to take part of New Orleans with them. But as the song goes "Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans", soon David and Barbara were missing the music they grew up with.
In 1997, the Big Easy Jazz Band was formed. "We've integrated our own New Orleans sound into swing and dixieland music," David said. David, a multi-instrumentalist brings a wealth of experience and interest to the band. As musical director, he arranges tunes and swings them out on guitar. Barbara likes to play the drums as if she was out on the floor dancing to the tunes. Jack Braet, with his smooth saxophone and clarinet style, brings an inspired soulful hipness and Daney Dawson, our awesome bass player, locks it all down.
Our recording was done "live in the studio" with no punch-ins or overdubs, just as we would perform in person.
