ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Dave Mehling of Duluth, MN combines mellow indie-rock tones and poetic lyrics to create sweeping renditions of his original music.

His debut, 'How Do I Make You Lonesome,' is a collection of 12 introspective songs about love, loss, and other truths in life.

"Dave Mehling's music on 'How Do I Make You Lonesome,' is soulful, contemporary, and playful, yet seems to owe much to the many great singer/songwriters of the 60's and 70's."
-Bud Rodecker

This is a great cd,for any occasion. It has a great blend of just about everything, from jazz to rock, from swing to pop...a perfect soundtrack to any visions you may see. "Break Love" has a catchy beat, and you will be singing the hook, while snapping and tapping along."Listen To The Band" is definitly the perfect closing track, after you hear what this band can really do. If you are unfamiliar with Duluth's music scene, this is a great start to any collection. For those familar, this is a must have.

Fly High, Duluth!

The rush is loud, take a break with Mehling's mellow gold
Aside from Low's "Drums and Guns," this might be your best chance for finding a little solitude in life. Curl up with this one -- it's one of those records. "Idaho," in particular, is sublime.

Keeps me hanging on...
I heard Dave playing music 4 years ago at an open mic, and have been following his musical career ever since. I can't get enough. This CD is the kind that you would put into your car stereo and not take it out for months because you can't help but love singing along. A good buy from a good guy. :)
