Tambourine

by David Myles Meinzer

The sound of hit songs of the 1960s is the foundation of this music - short tunes with lively arrangements, lots of vocal harmonies, jangly guitars and memorable tunes evoking warm summers, sunny beaches, and "getting away from it all."

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
David Myles Meinzer is a singer-songwriter from Buffalo, New York, USA. He is a member of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame with a half-dozen albums to his credit as well as contributions to bands he's performed with over the last 40 years.

While he began performing during the New Wave era of the late 1970s, it didn't stop him form fashioning his style from country rock and rockabilly music along with Beatles/Stones/Dylan rock and roll.

Dave's first band was Davy & the Crocketts and much of his first album was recorded with that group. Later he performed under the name Nimrod Wildfire, including a 1997 show at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas.

Writing songs has alway been Dave's focus and several of his songs have been recorded by other artists.

Currently he performs with the Horizontal Stripes, a band that includes his wife, Cathy Carfagna, along with Bob Kozak and Patrick Heyden.
