The Violence of Your Heart

by David Nyro

This is what it sounds like when love cries! Defiant, tragic, angry, pleading. A song about the drama and trauma of an emotional, psychologically violent love affair, delivered with a tour-de-force vocal performance from guest singer, Katie Kuffel!

Album Notes
The songs of David Nyro are familiar in their classic pop, rock, singer-songwriter way.
Strong, memorable melodies, married to smart, distinctive lyrics.
They touch on a lot of genres. Not surprising considering David loves virtually all kinds of music. Pop, jazz, funk, bluegrass, opera, blues, indie, EDM, world, reggae, soul, folk. Those influences manifest in many ways. A little Randy Newman, and traces of Peter Gabriel and Elbow. Someone mentioned he sounded like Colin Hay, of Men at Work. The Beatles are there, of course, along with Neil Young, Oasis, Gram Parsons, Todd Rundgren and Nick Drake. Others have heard Supertramp, Norah Jones, the Band and Ryan Adams.
Motown and Philly soul and Laura Nyro and Joni Mitchell are among his major music loves.
One never knows where his influences will take him. But never too far afield of classic, soulful album pop-rock.
David LOVES to hear what others hear when they hear his music, so feel free to reach out to him via his website, twitter, soundcloud and other platforms.
