It's About Time!

by David Perry

I've been writing and recording songs since I was 14, produced a few dance hits in the 80's but never released my own album. I finally found the time to record enough of my own songs to do just that, and It's About Time!
Genre: Pop: 80's Pop

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I played guitar and keyboards in numerous bands in the 1970's in the New Haven CT area. I also built a home studio and recorded lots of bands during that time. I also learned to play drums and made many "one man band" recordings. I moved to Seattle WA in 1978, and produced several "disco" hits there, by artists like Salazar and Carrie LaPorte. I also produced an album for Meredith Brooks and I worked in the studio with Kenny G and Sir Mix a Lot, all before they became stars. Most of the songs on this album I wrote in the 70's and 80's, so they have that sound. If you enjoy the music of those eras, you're going to enjoy this album as well. I played all the instruments on the album and did all the vocals, except as follows: Danelle Hayes is featured additional vocalist on Feel the Magic, Peace Love and Hope, and The Mocha Rock. The Total Experience Gospel Choir is featured on Peace Love and Hope. Danielle Dubois does back up vocals on Feel the Magic, Peace Love and Hope, and Seattle Summer, and Roz does back up vocals on Feel the Magic, and Peace Love and Hope.
