ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Yellowcake Shake" is a Funky single by David Rastrick released as a FUNdraiser for the Anti-Nuclear Alliance of Western Australia (ANAWA).

"Yellowcake Shake" is on David's 2011 funk/reggae/world-jazz album "Rise Up in Love" and features special guest performances by some awesome Australian musicians:
Katie J White - Vocals;
Luke Gaudry - Keyboards;
Colin Reeves - Guitar;
Evan Holmes - Tenor Saxophone, and:
DJ Swami Adima - Drum-kit and Programming.
On this track David Rastrick sings and plays trumpet, flugelhorn and micro-Korg syntheziser (key-pads and bass).

"Yellowcake" is high grade uranium ore mined in a manner that is highly resource consumptive and environmentally destructive. The large scale availability of renewable energies (i.e. Wind-Power and Concentrated Solar Thermal) makes the mining and use of highly unstable and dangerous uranium ore redundant and uneccesary.

All funds from sales of this online single will go to help ANAWA keep Western Australia nuclear free. We've got to "Shake that Yellowcake!"
