ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
David Tolar is a singer/songwriter based in the Greater Boston area who has been performing virtually his entire life.

His three solo albums, "THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE", "SANDBOX ETIQUETTE", and "CONFLICT RESOLUTION" are windows inside this unique artist's soul, and are a trilogy of songs and stories dating from 1979 until the present day.

He writes, records, performs, engineers, and produces his music from his home recording studio just outside of Boston.

The reactions to the "CONFLICT RESOLUTION" album to date have truly been astounding - buyers of his music call it his "defining work", and "one of the best albums of 2019 to date".

His voice has been compared favorably to both John Lennon and David Bowie, and his confessional style of lyric writing is unlike anybody else.

The true question for you, the listener, is this:
What does "CONFLICT RESOLUTION" mean to YOU?

Is it about making peace with your past?
Is it about sorting out the issues of your present?
Is it about life?
Is it about death?

In short, what is YOUR "CONFLICT RESOLUTION"?

On this album, those questions and more are both directly and indirectly explored through a series of different "voices" - no two songs sound exactly the same, and each vocal performance David gives is unique to itself.

How does the story end? Is there a happy ending? Is there any "CONFLICT RESOLUTION" possible?

You'll have to listen to find out how this forty-year musical journey ends.
