Album Notes
Daystar Productions is an arm of Maria House Projects concerned with making its works known and with helping it financially.

For over 30 years, Maria House Projects have provided homes for troubled men who are in need of community for healing. They include: alcoholics, drug addicts, men deeply disturbed emotionally, and men suffering from the effects of homelessness and imprisonment.

To become part of the program, a man must acknowledge that part of his life in need of healing. He must commit to staying at least 90 days; working not only on his problem, but also becoming part of a community by sharing life and work and scripture and support group meetings, such as A.A., N.A., G.A., and other Twelve Step programs of recovery. We have seen, and continue to see, marvels of transformation; with a new awareness of God, of other people, of a living spirit, and a fulfilling work-life.

The program is not government funded. Its continuation depends on help from the Erie Diocese, from foundations, from private donations, and from the generosity of volunteers, without which this work could not continue.

In the last two years, something new has been going on... Men and women, residents and volunteers, with amazing musical, literary, and artistic talents have come to us, become part of us, and have produced impressive and inspired works of art. This album is a living expression of our way of life - a work of the Spirit!

Rev. James Peterson

This CD is a direct result of God placing a number of talented people together under the Maria House Project. After realizing that something was going on here, we decided to make a CD to reflect the Spirit in each of our lives. Hopefully, these songs of the soul will lift you as they have us.

How refreshing and inspiring to hear words and songs that show us how the Spirit can rise above darkness and to despair to hope and new life

The beauty, the raw emotion, the Spirit is with you
THANK YOU THANK YOU! The music and poetry are very moving-- I cried when I listened to it. The beauty, the raw emotion-- the soul-- no, the Spirit-- the Spirit is definitely with all of you in this recording.
