Album Notes
dB+1 (dB plus 1) is douglas Branson plus one or more of his friends. This is a selection of High Energy, Cool, Quirky, and Rockin tunes from recordings 1997-the present. Don't Leave Home Without One songs are featured in the soundtrack for the film "Have You Seen TAN"? The Rockumentary film takes place in the eighties on and around South Street, and features the artwork and life of Philadelphia airbrush artist Michael Tancredi(TAN). Yep it was Sex, Drugs, Rock and Roll, with ART and Music. Visit www.exit4music.com for more info and clips from the film.

A friend called dB+1 "Punktry." He gives a lot of credit to his co-writers, musician friends, and producers who continue to help shape his musical vision.

"The Rant" (F-word version), "Suicide Bomber", "Your Boyfriend is a Dick", and "Ode 2 Kurt Cobain", are rapidly becoming internet, underground, and pop-culture favorites.

"There is nothing like performing a song you have written or co-written, to give you goosebumps and let you feel alive; one with the universe". Especially great when the audience goes wild over hearing it for the first time... Or you hear feedback that it really pushed someone's buttons, touched someone in an emotional way, conjured up memories; put "it" into words and music." -
These songs are available for Radio, Film, Video, and Television. They are also available to other bands, and artists. Please email or visit www.exit4music.com to negotiate licensing and make arrangements. 2005 ASCAP

Your Boyfriend Is A Dick is sooo cool...it's like it was made just for me!
I think we have all wanted to say this to at least one of our close friends at one time or another! It's even possible that someone said it to you!
" Your Boyfriend..." is funny, truthful and the tune totally rocks! I'm gonna buy this cd for at least three of my girlfriends right now!

If you're allergic to humor and laughter don't buy it!
Some of this music really takes me back. My review is not as objective and perhaps it's slightly biased because I've known Doug for many years. Although this CD soars with, and maintains originality, one can hear scores of many early influences, e.g. Bowie, Stones, Iggy Pop, the Beatles and lots of happy times and some new ones also. What I like most about this CD is the humor. Not just the first cut, but this entire compilation is riveted with excitement!

Mystery Rock Critic

Lyrics are definitely right on the edge, love your vox, and the guitar riffs are
THE RANT - the anger and the profanities are beautiful man.
YOUR BOYFRIEND - Wow...very funny and sarcastic and completely original. College radio Hit!
TERRIBLE VIDEOS - I like the humor and the badness of the vocals.. very punky feel, very catchy.
SUICIDE BOMBER - Kind of reminds me of some of the earlier punk bands such as The Sex Pistols with some California punk mixed in. Guitar tone sounds great for this particular sound.

David Edwards

direct, transparent, and thought provoking
Unflinching, emotionally charged treatments of themes familiar to all, supported by uncomplicated arrangements and soul-baring performances. Some of the language is explicit, but apt, and nothing you wouldn't hear in honest, everyday conversation. Devoid of any posing or pandering, the strongest cuts, such as "The Rant," succeed by virtue of their guitar-driven, reckless abandon. Lyrics on all these songs are direct, transparent, and thought provoking.

This album left me breathless. Wow DB+1 has hit home with this album
From the first track to the last, this CD leaves you with a pure feeling of audio satisfaction. This is definetly a CD to purchase. Its not often then one can find pure artist freedom within the major label scene. DB has taken this album to another level. Great great great.

Don't have a CD collection without one!
The production quality is superb! The talent is immense! And to say there is something for anybody and everybody is an understatement. I've had snippets and downloads by this artist in the past, but this top-quality CD is the best yet! Thanks! Highly recommended.

With a slightly dark sense of humor, fun to listen to...
With a slightly dark sense of humor, this CD is fun to listen to.
This is a fun collection of songs that many would enjoy.
It's also one of the few albums I've heard recently where a majority of the words can actually be understood. Amazing, eh?

Friendly Rock Critic

Your boyfriend is a dick or at least he thinks with it ...
The lyrics are surprising for men to write and sing and many a woman will concur with spirit and pace of song ... this line, "Your boyfriend is a dick or at least he thinks with it" is smart as it hits on subtle jealousy for the gals who hang with the loser dudes, plus hits to heart of where most juvenile men (boys) are focused ... ah, the lower chakras and how misguided we are in our evolution's .. to old to quick, to smart to late ... oye vey ... a song of our times :>)
