Album Notes
Ladies and Gentlemen: “Would you welcome please, DC & The Struggle…”

For years now, DC has been one of those bands that you couldn’t pin down. For one thing, their music artfully interweaves rock and pop with some country, old school new wave and even a little punk thrown in for good measure. For another, DC & The Struggle is that band who seems to show up from out of nowhere, blow the roof off the party and then drift back into the ether. Mudgey (what those in the know call guitarist Michael Fournier) says that it’s like DC arrives on a spaceship, plays the show and then takes off again, leaving the audience wondering what hit them.

With the release of this album, all that is about to change.

Born in the Maritimes when long-time friends Fournier and Macleod discovered that they could make music together and relocated to Calgary where Gervais and Reilly jumped on board, DC & The Struggle have now been caught and pinned down to earth. The 10 songs that make up the album "DC & The Struggle" not only showcase the musical mashup described above but also celebrates the spirit of hard work, commitment, dedication and passion that brings these four musicians together to keep the party going. DC has landed and The Struggle is real!
