Album Notes
Dead Letters is an eclectic group, drawing influences from indie rock, motown, folk, traditional music, and world music. Driven largely by the emotive lead vocals of Michael Chance, the group has drawn comparisons to early Springsteen, Glen Hansard, Joe Cocker, Counting Crows and - more surprisingly, to the band - David Bowie. Despite those influences, Dead Letters makes a concerted, natural effort to avoid being pigeonholed, feeling free to explore Americana, dance music, blue-eyed soul, and really anything else that grabs our attention.

The focus is on raw emotion - these are not polished, overproduced tracks. Voices break, and drums rattle, and we've done as little as possible to hide our vulnerabilities from you. The songs strive for an honesty that we hope they reach. This EP is to whet your appetite for the full-length debut album that is currently in preproduction.
