Album Notes
Dean Sorenson is probably best known for writing some of the most widely used jazz instructional materials available, including the Standard of Excellence Jazz Ensemble Method and First Place for Jazz. It is the first time he has chosen to feature himself as a soloist and bandleader.

The sextet is the perfect ensemble for a jazz composer. There are enough instruments to showcase different colors and orchestrations, but there is still plenty of space for solos and improvisation.

Dean Sorenson, Trombone; David Milne, Tenor Saxophone; Steve Kenny, Flumpet; Chris Lomheim, Piano; Tom Lewis, Bass; Phil Hey, Drums.

Recorded, edited, and mixed by Miles Hanson and Steve Wiese at Creation Audio.
Album artwork and design by Madeline Sturm.

All of the music on this CD is available for purchase, either as combo or big band charts. Contact Dean for more information
