Dean Stevens' "Arise" is a triumph
With his new album, "Arise", Dean Stevens has accomplished a miraculous hat trick. He has assembled a fresh batch of songs and a team of supporting players and singers and created a masterful album of transcendent beauty, thoughtfulness, and hope. Through the expert recording wizardry of Eric Kilburn, and with the aid of such instrumental masters as Ritt Henn, Grey Larsen and Josh Rosen, Arise expresses Stevens' deep feelings about the planet, peace, justice and love. It's sixteen songs long, and every moment is a winner.
