Album Notes
Barr’s third release, "All My Stories" offers an intimate collection of eleven original songs that reflect Barr’s strength as a songwriter. Folding contemporary adult themes into a mix of jazz, folk and easy listening styles, Barr poetically captures the essence of the land and people that have surrounded her over the years. A skilled pianist with a voice clear as a mountain stream and as smooth as the varnished red canyon walls she loves, Barr is joined by David Allen Hammond on guitar and Gian Rovetto on upright bass.

The stripped down production lets Barr's intricate lyrics and straightforward melodies receive all the attention they deserve, from the anthem-like “Take These Songs” (“make these songs into a boat on the river when the water is on the rise, let them be your voice, let them be your wings, lift you like a feather to the sky”) to a song of seasonal love in a ski town, "Off Season Blues," and to the more reflective title song. Complimented with cover art by the great Frank Gauna, “All My Stories” is a CD that will be appreciated by people who are looking consistent quality musicianship and songwriting in a CD listening experience.

all my stories
I love this album. Her songs could be any woman's stories. I've seen her a couple times live and she does a great show.
