Music stripped down to its heart
In a time of "pop country" these guys really have stripped down the music to it's heart, while also wearing it on its sleave. It's a great mixture of mountain music and Blues.
The coal mines may be closing down , but these guys may be the Phoenix rising from the ashes.

That'll Learn Ya
This is my kind of music. Besides excellent playing and singing, I am most impressed by the songwriting. Listening to this cd sparks all kinds of emotions. My wife and I laughed and cried listening to this. The order of the songs on here is great. I am buying several of these and giving them to my music-loving friends.

Something for (Almost) Everyone
The impression one gets is that this is a country band, but in fact, they have a very bluesy, stripped-down sound with strong harmonies and catchy hooks. The third track, in fact, is straight up Delta Blues, while the rest run the gamut from folk to rock to bluegrass influences (The Lord's Prayer is especially beautiful). Several songs have touching, sentimental stories, although a strong sense of fun caries through the entire album. Highly recommended. Support independent music!
