BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Originally rooted in Los Angeles, Wesley Cota (Deep-C) almost died due to a premature birth. He faced his first challenge in East L.A. hospital from complications due to upper respiratory difficulties. Unknowingly, following his father's footsteps, music was blessed by blood. Raised by a strong willed mother who understood El Sereno, L.A. had nothing to offer except death, together they moved to Northern California. They moved from place to place finally locating in the Santa Rosa area.

They year was 1987. "I was in sixth grade when I fell in love with music and realized what my purpose was. I started of DJing house parties, entering school talent shows and calling KMEL to battle other rappers," Cota states. Word spread. "Soon my turntable days were over and more time was devoted to developing lyrics on paper and delivery."

Blessed to be at the right place at the right time, Cota, now known as Deep-C met his mentor Boo Manson from Thibadou, Louisiana. "We were inseparable and our bond became much more than intense training and fundamental development. Boo returned to Louisiana to take care of his family but the connection was made and I would never be the same."

The world wasn't prepared for what was about to happen. Deep-C started performing for homeless shelters in Santa Rosa, convention centers in the Central Valley, safe sex rallies for 106.1 KMEL, and clubs throughout the San Francisco Bay. He made guest appearances for promotional videos and live performances by request in college dorms in Northern California. His songs began being played on Sonoma State University's radio station KSUN. He started to shake up the local Bay Area like never before.

Underground tapes and CDs are circulating the streets. His meaningful lyrics are sweeping across Northern California and soon across the nation. He is making noise and everyone is listening to the unique style and sounds of this rap artist named Deep-C.

Tranzlationz defently has those unmistakable west coast beats. I’ve heard track #12 Saftey-Net on the radio in my city a few times. I like Track #9 Salute the pit. Is this guy signed with a label? Check out how he flows the names of his tracks into the intro of the CD.
I have this CD, & would highly recommend it to anyone who would like to hear a rap artist/musician on his way to the next level.

Gots some potential
Listening to this CD showed some potential. I was feeling how this CD had a good range of material. Some of the beats were cool but the other beats needed some help. The key of most of the beats were way off. I liked the tone of Deep- C's voice and the energy but I couldn't understand half the stuff he was spitting. Maybe he was on a bad mic or maybe he needs to pronounce his words better. Listen to the beat and tempo and flow with it. Possibly slow down and take your time homeboy. The look could be marketable but the quality needs to go back to the lab. I do like the Cd and suggest others to buy it but always think about quality.

I think this CD was pretty well rounded. It has alot of versatility. I really liked track #12 produced by a cat named 4th Quarter. I did my research on him and I am hearing that he is a very hot, upcoming producer from the west coast...I like the way that the song was a replayed version of R Kelly's "religious love"....and the singing is done by a singer by the name of Sherry Simpson, who has done work with Envogue, and Tatiana Ali from "the fresh prince of belle aire"...Overall the CD will have you listening throughout and Deep C can't do anything but get better as time goes on.
