Album Notes
Deep C Revival is a band comprised of New York musicians who have toured and recorded with a wide variety of bands including: Queen, Johnny Winter, Rainbow, Joe Lynn Turner, and countless others. Their influences are varied and their stage and studio credits are endless, encompassing all kinds of music from rap to country. The one common denominator is their love for classic rock. This debut album reflects the band's passion to keep this music alive. The leader of Deep C Revival (Gus Fafalios) is an avid fisherman with an affinity for the ocean and marine life. And although this is not a direct concept album, many of the songs reflect the epic battles between Giant Squid and Sperm Whales miles beneath the ocean's surface ("Architeuthis"). There are songs written from the perspective of The Great White Shark, scolding us for our mistreatment and lack of respect for our environment and his kingdom ("Call Me The King / Abyss"). And there are songs generally shunning our addiction to technology and self promotion ("Deep C Revival"). Lastly, and most importantly, this album is dedicated to our sister and muse, Alisa B. Anderson, who passed away far too early during the making of Go Deep. Her spirit and passion will always be with us.
