ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Spanish and Flamenco guitar techniques with danceable latin rhythms. The San Carlos CD was written by Domingo DeGrazia and features nine musicians on guitar, violin, bass, drums, percussion, and vocals. The CD was recorded at Allusion Studios in Tucson by Grammy nominated engineer, Jim Pavett and is DeGrazia’s second CD under his name. San Carlos follows Domingo’s solo classical guitar CD, Calendars, released in 2002.

Domingo DeGrazia is an Arizona native and the youngest son of famed Arizona artist Ted DeGrazia. Domingo has become a recognized guitarist and song writer known for blending Spanish guitar styles with the passion and flair of Flamenco guitar technique.

His playing is as rhythmic as it is percussive, often coupling dynamic Spanish rhythms with vibrant Latin, Salsa and rock drum beats. Although Domingo brings 20 years of playing and performing experience, he follows his father as being somewhat of a renaissance man. Domingo holds college diplomas in aeronautical science as well as law, is an active pilot and is a former motorcycle roadracer.

The album features Domingo DeGrazia, Jon Klein, and Dustin Jones on lead guitar, Jim Pavett, Jeff Friedl and Clay Reed on drums on percussion, Joel Gottschalk on bass, Janee Page on vocals, and Quetzal Guerrero on violin.
