ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I was born in 1965 and raised in Euclid, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. I studied piano privately for 7 years while in grade school. I continued to play throughout high school and college, and have earned my living as a professional pianist since graduating from John Carroll University in 1987.

I have written and released three previous new age projects, a cassette titled Music in an Old House, and two CD’s: Crossing the Bridge and Still. I was also featured on a worldwide release for Narada Media titled First Light: Piano Solos.

My latest release HOME was written and recorded in April 2007. I had been planning to do another new age project since my last one STILL which was released in 1998.

I was inspired to write and record a CD based on my memories of growing up in Euclid, Ohio. Each song has a story behind it.

I hope you enjoy listeing to it as much as I have enjoyed creating it.

Good as ever!
John's writing is extremely good and I hope there will be many more new CD releases after this one. As another reviewer has stated, his work is on par with Peter Kater, as well as Jon Schmidt, Jim Chappell, Danny Wright, Mark Sloniker and many other new age pianists I've had the good fortune of discovering. Melodic and sentimental, John's latest CD "Home" feels like home.

Beautiful
The music is beautiful. I think he is extremely talented. I will listen to it often and will have to probably listen several times to decide if I have a favorite. As I listened each one seemed a favorite and when I finished I decided it was 10 "Coach".

Beautiful, moving, soulful piano
WOW! I LOVE it!!!! That is my kind of music. I played it twice yesterday evening and I have it playing on my laptop right now. I discovered Jim Brickman's music about a year ago and thru Pandora.com (internet radio - create your own station), I was introduced to the music of George Winston and Peter Kater. This in my opinion is on a par with them - if not better. John has got to be my new favorite artist!

John, thanks for some beautiful, moving, soulful piano. I am trying to decide what my favorite piece is, and you know, out of 10, I can't decide between 7 of them! I guess I'll have to keep listening...

What I like most about John's music is that he tells a story.
What I like most about John's music is that he tells a story. Sometimes the silence between phrases transmits just as much of the emotion as the notes. He's completely letting us in on his emotional experience of that time. What an honor.

The 8 seconds of silence before the very 1st note in Coach makes my heart ache instantly for the story to unfold in the piece.

Very relaxing
John's playing on this is very precise and instantly relaxing. I am a fan of the NARADA artists such as David Lantz and George Winston, and this CD instantly reminded me of them, but in a more modern style. Very nicely done John. You are very talented. I wish you the best in 2008.
