Album Notes
On the new release, "The Autumn House", Jeff DeHerdt continues to explore the more pop side of jazz and the jazz side of pop. There are more horns, more vocals and more great songs. In this case, more is better. Riding on the success of their previous release, "Club Bordeaux", the band gels together even more on future hits such as laid-back funky "Tell Me What I Did to You" and melodic "The Way She Falls".

The Jeff DeHerdt Group tripped and stumbled on to the Midwest music scene in 1999 with a dull thud. But, since a performance in the 2000 Indianapolis Jazz Fest, they draw regular followings in a great many Midwest venues and festivals. Recently, the group played in Clowes Hall before bands featuring Herbie Hancock, Michael Brecker, Roy Hargrove and Wayne Shorter.
