ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Masquerade is Deify's second full-length record, and the first to feature only Duncan and Jared Byargeon. The album explores the themes of love, loss, and deception on a micro and macro scale. The music of the album is an expansion upon the punk-rock/grunge roots of "Between the Lines" and takes on more of a blues-rock approach, with some songs re-imaged from the band's debut.

In true DIY fashion, the entire record was recorded in the band's basement. Armed with a four track, a drum kit, guitars, and a collection of microphones, Deify produced an 11 track ode to rock n roll's finest.
