Album Notes
If you been wondering where the real emcees at... then look no further. From the School of Hard Knocks, off the streets of NY is none other than DW aka Demorne Warren." I grew up in SouthSide Jamaica Queens where at a young age I was already getting involved with as many elements of Hip Hop and the streets as I possibly could. My love for the music and the culture led me to pursue a career in the music biz. I never thought when I was listening to Slick Rick,KRS-ONE,BIG DADDY KANE & RAKIM that I had what it take." Fastforward to 2006 and you got a MC thats took his experience in life and put it into his music. After years of "paying dues" and learning industry rule# 4080, shady business Demorne got together with former D&D Studio mananger Paul Twumasi and started a record label DO FOR SELF ENTERTAINMENT. With producers Felix, Rob, Eric, and others Do For Self started like a family now its a movement. The only way we can get what we want and need is to do for self, and thats real, for real. D-W has already been featured on albums by Krumb Snatcha and Da Beatminerz. You might have seen his name if you picked up a XXL magazine in 2003 or RapFanatic Magazine. The debut LP from Demorne Warren "The World According to D" is now available at selected retail stores. It is also featured on CDbaby.com and other online sites for purchase. Check back soon for DOFORSELF entertainment website info. New Mix tape/CD on the streets now! If you live in the tri-state area you can see DW's video for Cant Do It Like Me on BCAT-TV,BRONX-NET, QPTV, and other public access channels. "Big up to everybody that show support for mine and all real HipHop music, call it Rap if you want to just call it hot." Big up my brothers Juan P, Stu Peezy, Jay Reid, Kurse, Ian, Paul, my street team Lucky Luff, Mesai from Rap Fanatic Magazine, Gary, Awnen Poppin, Hall of Fame Music in the Coliseum in Jamaica Queens, and all outlets that carry this LP. Shout out to the entire Do For Self staff and my team Black Diamondz.
