ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The R n’ B and Jazz vocal stylings of Deneece have been beautifully expressed through the graceful and passionate delivery of some of the best songs of our time! “Denyse has an incredible voice and was amazing on stage,” says an enthusiastic audience member. “Two thumbs way up!” responds another.

With her musical influence coming from great singers and performers such as Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Ella Fitzgerald, Heart and more, Deneece always provides a great performance. In one moment you will feel like jumping up and singing along, and the next, her soulful performance will have your heart aching.

Deneece vocal styles fully embrace the Broadway genre!

With all her being and all her soul, she sings Broadway hits and a couple songs from French Musicals in her own style and her own way: Aquarius and Let the Sunshine from Hair, I Could Have Danced All Night from My Fair Lady, Monopolis from Starmania, Queen Bee and Evergreen from A Star is Born, and All That Jazz, as well as many others. When on stage, she offers a show as much for the ears as for the eyes. Her elegant long sparkling blue gown and long white satin gloves play the seduction game. The audience agrees: “The Broadway style suits her very well. What a superb voice and what a stage presence! I love her sensual voice and her musicians are incredible.” To complete it all, we are invited to experience the joyful rich piano sounds and marvelous rhythms under the musical direction of her keyboardist/musical director François Groulx (formerly with Cirque de Soleil) who brings not only an experienced touch, but also, that extra-special ingredient to the CD ensemble, that includes Mike McNeil on Drums and other studio musicians.
