Album Notes
Timeless Grooves represents a life-long dream come true. We want to bring back some of the great trumpet and sax R&B sounds from the 60's and 70's an give it a contemporary jazz feel with an air of sophistication. The eight original songs on the album are a blend of funk and Brazilian sounds with strong melodies. Produced by Grammy award winner Jason Miles the album boast some of the finest players in the jazz/pop scene today, including Brian Dunne on drums, Romero Lubambo on guitar and Amanda Ruzza on electric bass. In addition to the trumpet /flugelhorn melodies played by Dennis Angel ,the album features the beautiful sax sounds of Gottfried Stoger and a contrast in heartfelt vocals by 16 year old Rebecca Angel and veteran crooner DeForest Raphael. This album has something for everyone's tastes, including an Elvis Presley and Beatles tune with our own uniques arrangements.
