ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Here are what people are saying about "Dreams & Visions"

Award winning musician Arlen Salte said: Awesome, awesome album. Richly ambient, album artwork that inspires, knock your face off playing (when appropriate), serious groove when it fits, great haunting vocals, smooth textures, great mix, deeply spiritual.

Documentary Filmmaker David Di Sabatino said: This is an excellent instrumental project, an amalgam of jazz, classical, progressive rock and probably other elements that I am forgetting. On top of that, the packaging is amazing, full of aesthetic and literary thoughts that speak to the artist's care in putting something like this together. First class musicianship that deserves appreciation.

Educator Clint Uhrich said: this CD and art booklet that goes with it is a spectacular, wonderful experience. The compositions and performances are very, very rich, compelling, and beautiful.

Internationally renowned musician Michel Lwamba said: It is a masterpiece… every time I listen to the album it takes me on a journey.

Fully-orbed aesthetic project
This CD project is more than just a musically ornate journey, it is also a complete aesthetically pleasing package that is fleshed out with choice quotations and colorful artwork that is packaged unlike any other CD that I have ever received. And that is saying something.
But the music is what took me most by surprise, a collection of jazz, progressive rock, fusion and classical instrumentation all concisely melded together in an explosion of sonic vibrancy. It is rare in this product-heavy age that anything gets bumped into your regular rotation, but I found myself coming back to Dennis' CD more than I thought I ever would. And for me it was because I felt a spark of transcendence in the work, from the magisterial command of the violin by Hugh Marsh (cf. Bruce Cockburn) to the final choral crescendo. Anything that transports me to a higher plane of soulish emotion is to me something worth revisiting, and I so loved the last track "Dream #4" because it left me feeling happy to be alive.
I cannot recommend this project enough.
