Album Notes
This song is a declaration about Jesus, who He is and what He's done:

"...Gather now to the Saviour of the World"

Once upon a time, we walked and talked in the perfect presence of our God. Then we chose to distance ourselves from Him by following our own self-centred ways, and sin and death appeared. But God sent Jesus Christ to step into the world to show us a different way, not a way based on rules or regulations, but a Way that would lead us in Truth and Life.

When Jesus was put to death by the religious leaders of the time for being too radical, He became the sacrifice that paid for all our sins, even those we have yet to commit! Three days later, He rose to life to prove that He had put an end to death as well.

This means our relationship with God is fully restored and we are free to walk with Him according to His purpose and plan over our lives forevermore!

"...Gather now to the King of kings, the Lord of lords"

Jesus was born from the line of King David, which makes Him a king by earthly means. He is also the Son of God, to whom all authority is given, from governments to galaxies. So great is His majesty that if we were to be silent, the stones of the earth would cry out instead!

Truly He is the King of kings and Lord of Lords yet at the same time, He calls us His friends. At times, the busyness of our lives and the situations we find ourselves in can overwhelm us, but the Bible promises that God has gone before us and made a way. Our intimate God tells that that we can remove our worries and burdens and cast them onto Him. We are told that He makes us more than conquerors and He will work out all things for our good.

When the Lord of Creation is on your side, we can take our eyes off our situation even in the toughest moments and shift our gaze towards Him, to trust in His power and sing Him the highest praises.

"...All honour be to our Majesty, the ever living God!"
