ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Derek Irving comes out of California influenced by 50’s Rock N Roll, Jump Blues and Rockabilly. At the age of 19 Derek became guitarist for Mitch Woods and His Rocket 88’s. During his four years with the band Derek toured US and Europe and recorded on Mitch’s Shakin the Shack record release with Blind Pig Records. In 2009 Derek’s electric lo fi blues band The Aces, released No One Rides for Free on El Toro Records. Now Derek takes all his inspirations and releases his debut record. The record is full of original songs inspired by the beauty of mono recordings from Sun Records and Chess Records. With his Combo, the band delivers vintage sounding rock n roll with inspiration from 50’s R&B and 50’s Rockabilly.
