ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
We are all very proud of the project because everyone contributed, from the writing to arrangements, we all worked hard to bring you our heart and soul into this project.
Our first song; "This Ole Towne". has a good driving beat on the bass and great harmony vocals! The graphics for the CD cover go along with this song. It shows an old Victrola with a train ticket, old money in a billfold and a picture of the "Band" in antique style!!! It was such a fun song to play that you just don't want it to end!

The second song; "Our Love Will Never Last" has a unique sound performed in a minor key!!! From the first note, it catches your ear and you have to keep listening to hear how it ends!!! The vocals and instrumentation were so different Wes Easter - Eastwood Studios said when we first laid down the tracks, "This is a Hit"!!! Coming from Wes, we were very excited and believe it shows as the producer worked with us to make it perfect! You'll love the haunting sound the "9 string guitar" makes when strumming. It is a very different song for bluegrass, and is a progressive tune! It's one of the reasons we had it as second position on the CD.

Our third song is straight up traditional "Bill Monroe" bluegrass!!! If you did not know any better, you would think the Father of Bluegrass wrote it himself!!! Played and sung as a duet in the traditional vain that bluegrass roots started in!!! You'll love it!

We thought of two traditional songs that were a must on our project, the harmony vocals on "Please Search Your Heart" can be heard as a "live" performance at Sandy Ridge. You know it's right when three voices sound like one and this was it!!!

The first of two instrumentals; Somers Road was brought to us by our banjo player, it is a driving tune and seems to bring smiles to faces while tapping toes to the beat!!!!

As for the rest of the CD, we think we have a great mix of original, traditional, bluegrass gospel and progressive bluegrass tunes!!! Our hope is you will like it as much as we do!!!!
