ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is my version of Bob Dylan's classic anti-arms industry song.

I am Dhevdhas Nair, UK based pianist and composer, former keyboard player with South African chart-topping band Sankomota, I have worked with Hugh Masekela, Ray Carless. Johnny Fuller, Marcus Vergette, John Etheridge, Jim Mullen, Andy Christie, Dave Sheen, Harry Fulcher, Phil Johnstone (Robert Plant), Darryl Waye (Curved Air), Emma Shapplin, George Dalaris, Pia Sukanya, Steve Hackett (Genesis), Roz Harding, Chloe Goodchild, Asima, Jenny Roditi, Baluji Srivastav, and the Daksha Sheth Dance Company of South India.
I have written music for film, theatre and dance companies.
The singer on this track is Stella Ramsden, acclaimed singer and keyboard player based in Paris and active in the French and UK music scenes.
I met Stella when she came to me for piano lessons. After she played some of her pieces I knew she was a talented artist. I saw her singing with a band in London and realised she would be right for this track. She has a distinctively clear and pure voice, full of air and space, and yet with the ability to push through a strong sense of commitment and power. I hope we can collaborate again on some more songs which are currently in the pipeline.
