Album Notes
“Writing songs, recording and performing is natural to me. This debut album is my first foot forward and there are plenty more songs on the horizon.”

Caught In A Wave is produced and mixed by singer/songwriter and recipient of an Independent Songwriter Award, Don DiLego, currently one of the most notable Americana artists in the world. Jesse Malin produced 3 songs on the album “Let Me Go”, “Disconnected” and “I Can’t Wait”. The players: Don DiLego, Derek Cruz, Todd Youth, Colin Brooks, Matt Basile, Tye Smith, Johnny Martin, Brian Purwin and Scott Campbell. Tommy Stinson (Replacements) played bass on 2 songs. The record was recorded at the Velvet Elk Studio (Don’s studio) in The Poconos in Pennsylvania, in Brooklyn at Atomic Studios with engineer/owner Merle Chornuk, with engineer/producer Rudyard Cullard at Stratosphere in NYC and with Mark Lewis at Under Hi-Fi Studio NYC. All songs were written by Diane Gentile with the exception of “Life’s A Gas” (Marc Bolan of T-Rex).
It was mastered by Mike Rogers in Portland, OR.

“Recording the record in bits and pieces allowed me time to work out some of the songs live, solo/acoustic. I did a little touring in support of Jesse Malin in the U.K. After recording Caught In A Wave, I put a band together. The band is named Diane Gentile and the Gentle Men.
