Album Notes
After years of producing for many successful artists, producer, bass player and arranger Diego Paredes launches his own material, gathering some of the best musicians of Venezuela. Manifesting different sounds and formats, Diego does not stay on one genre or style, instead he travels through different textures and formats, from a soloistic electronic tune such as "Paralelo 10", to a funk-fusion-jazz drive found in "Nunca Digas Siempre".
Diego Paredes is a musician, producer, bass player and arranger. As a producer he develops projects that involve different music genres such as jazz, pop, rock, latin, venezuelan music, electronic music, among others. Diego has arranged and produced songs that have reached number one spots in Venezuela´s radio charts.

As a producer and arranger , Diego Paredes has been involved in different Projects such as: Latin American Idol, Victor Muñoz/Guaco, Vielka, Juan Miguel, Victor Drija, Daniela Bascopé, Mariaca Semprún, Nelson Arrieta, Lubert Pulval, etc. He has also recorded and performed with artists such as Diego Paredes Project, Changuito, Jerry Rivera, Guillermo Carrasco, Vielka y su Tumbao, Chino y Nacho, Nelson Arrieta, Julio Rodríguez/Guaco, Víctor Muñoz, Juan Miguel, Cabas, among others.

In 2014, the album "Tango Remedio" (Daniela Bascopé) that was produced by Diego Paredes was nomited for "Pop Album of the Year" in Venezuela's top music awards: Pepsi Music Awards.

Diego enrolled in the prestigious Bass Collective in New York City where he studied jazz theory, bass techniques, improvisation, advanced sight-reading, recording techniques, jazz ensembles and also participated in the SOJ Jazz Study Center. In New York he has the invaluable experience to study with John Patitucci, Lincoln Goines, Matthew Garrison, Gary Willis, Gregory Jones, Joe Fitzgerald, Hilliard Greene, Steve Marks, Mike Pope, Kim Plainfield, Rufus Plilpot, Bob Quaranta, among others. During these years he also played in different jazz, fusion, latin, brazilian, pop and rock projects.

In1999 Diego Paredes wins the award for “Best Bass Player” of the Fundación Cultural José Angel Lamas in the “III encuentro de Música Urbana”.
