ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I step forward without a band. Strip it down to just bass, groove and vocals with some brass and backup bg's sprinkled in here and there for spice.

Here, in the world of solo bass I've found a new path to music. There's no cushion of a drum kit grooving along, there's no blanket of guitar of keys to paint the colours. Yet, without these elements of the standard band, I've had to and have found the essence of what matters in a song. It's all about having the song be true, and really feeling the rhythm that's happening.

The lyrics are all true to my life's story. The music is naturally what comes from within me. I stand, in a sense, naked against the norm.

Yes, all things new take time to be accepted by society as a whole. To breakdown music to just bass and vocals, I implore the listener, I implore you to let the groove happen in you.
