ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Commit to Something is Ditto’s 2nd album. Here’s the story behind this album. In the late 80’s and early 90’s Michelle and I recorded a bunch of songs in the living room with various recording devices and minimal equipment. These songs were experiments.... with recording techniques, arrangements, etc. We thought we might eventually use them as demo’s. We performed them live quite often and our fans kept asking us if we had any of them recorded. So we released them on a cassette entitled “Commit to Something” in 1994, in a very limited run. We sold out and never re-issued it.... until now. Our fans still keep asking us for copies! We actually thought about re-recording them in our now state of the art studio, but we wouldn’t be able to capture the same sound or presence. So we left them as is...stripped down and raw. This is very early Ditto! Most of the songs we’re recorded between fall 1991 and winter 1993. A few were also recorded in 1989. The album is written, performed, produced and arranged by Ditto, except on a few tracks where friends are sitting in with us. For those of you who like Joan Armatrading, Tuck and Patti, Hall and Oates, Jason Mraz and other artists in that genre give Ditto a listen.
