Album Notes
Gainesville, FL: Formed in 1976 in Gainesville, Florida by three cousins the band eventually
toured the southeastern US roadhouse circuit. Sure, Dixie Desperadoes fans were driving
hundreds of miles to hear them play, and the lines at sold out local venues like The
Lamplighter and Dubs went around the building every show. Their hard work paid off as
openers/co-headliners for the Allman Brothers, Axe, Molly Hatchet, Charlie Daniels Band,
Henry Paul Band, Johnny Winter, Three Dog Night, Grinderswitch, Louisiana Leroux, Doc
Holliday, Winters Brothers, Johnny Van Zant Band, Pat Travers and more playing their
brand of Southern Rock. Eventually they released one album, receiving substantial regional
acclaim and airplay.

Now, more than 30 years later, Gainesville's own Dixie Desperados will be releasing
their second (self titled) CD to the public on Saturday June 22, 2013. This live show
performance will be their third show to take place at the High Dive in Gainesville located at
210 SW 2nd Ave (near downtown).

The 11 song disc from the Dixie Desperadoes features new compositions from the
original band members penned in the same classic style that they have delivered to fans
since 1976. The album was recorded and produced by Stan Lynch (Tom Petty & The
Heartbreakers, Don Henley/Eagles) at Black Bear Studios in Gainesville, FL.
