Album Notes
Django Koenig is a Vermont-born singer-songwriter touring with his newly released album ‘We Live On’. He performs music from the heart and enjoys his sobriety and friendships.

Django graduated from JSC with a Bachelor of Arts in 2010. Django soon joined with "Big John" Freeburn and pianist David Langevin to form what would become the Vermont "Folkalicious" fellowship known as TallGrass GetDown. Django played drums, sang vocals, and even played trombone with TGGD. TallGrass has played all the hottest venues in New England as well as becoming local favorites at Nectar's, Frendly Gathering Music Festival, and Otis Mountain Get Down. In 2013 they won runners-up for Best Unsigned Band in Vermont in the Seven Days Magazine ‘Daisy’ Awards. Django has had the honor of sharing the stage with acts such as Yarn, Spirit Family Reunion, Shakey Graves, VT's own Waylon Speed and even Taj Mahal.
During the winter of 2015 due to a hiatus with TGGD, Django picked up a guitar and recorded his first record ‘We Live On’ released Fall 2015. As a multi-instrumentalist Django provides his own catchy rhythmic nylon guitar, steady drums, memorable vocals, and trombone. Recorded at Green Room Studios by Vermont renowned producer Colin McCaffrey and a slew of special guests. ‘We Live On’ is dedicated to Max Weaver, a fellow musician, songwriter, and good friend who passed away in 2013 at the age of 27.

"Strong harmonies, fluttering guitar and country-tinged piano take the lead on most tracks, which are full of hope and enthusiasm for life. Koenig's optimism is almost too hard to believe…listening to We Live On, you can't help but feel peaceful. Koenig has a big heart and yearns to share it.
