Album Notes
In the sonic storm known as Waxturnal, nobody
can hear you scream! Originally known as DJ Bobby Love…
film student at California Institute of the Arts, and part
of the electronic industrial duo Section 8 in the mid to late 80’s.
After the breakup of Section 8, Bobby Love would go on to
direct a string of music videos during the 90’s for bands emerging
out of the LA underground music scene. Following the production
of four music videos for the band Wax Poetic Silverlake,
Bobby Love would finish producing and mixing the Poetic’s CD debut
just as they were calling it quits. In the poetic aftermath, BL would move on as DJ
Waxturnal…exploring new musical directions, emotionally cinematic and caustic
enough for the dancefloor!
